Engineered custom spray booths built to your facility dimensions, part sizes, process requirements and throughput, from oversized industrial parts to robotic finishing lines.

When a standard booth doesn’t fit the part, the building or the process, PFS engineers a custom paint booth from the ground up. Our in-house engineering team works directly with your plant and facility staff to design the enclosure, airflow, heat, controls and material handling around how you actually finish parts. Every system is built with ETL/UL listed components and designed to NFPA 33.
We start with your parts, coatings, cure requirements, production rate and building. Drawings, photos or a site visit give our engineers the real constraints.
We size the enclosure around your largest part with working clearance, then choose the airflow (cross-flow, semi-downdraft, side downdraft or full downdraft) and calculate air volume, filtration and exhaust.
Air make-up and cure heat, UL 508A controls, lighting, and interlocks for conveyors, rail carts, lifts or robots are specified as one system.
You receive general arrangement drawings for review, plus the equipment data the fire, building and air-quality authorities typically ask for.
Panels, plenums and doors are fabricated to the approved drawings with ETL/UL listed components.
PFS crews install, balance the airflow, commission the controls and train your team. Ongoing service, filters and parts are available afterward.
Booths for large weldments, structural steel, heavy equipment, rail, marine and aerospace components, with oversized doors, extra-tall ceilings, and pass-through or drive-through layouts.
Booths and ovens laid out around overhead, floor or power-and-free conveyors, with silhouette openings and air balancing so the line keeps moving.
Enclosures sized for robot reach and service access, with the electrical and safety interlocks automation needs.
Spray, flash and cure in one footprint, or connected prep, paint and cure rooms that share air handling and controls.
Low ceilings, column lines, mezzanines, outdoor pads or existing pits. We engineer around the building you have.
Aerospace and defense, automotive and truck, heavy equipment, agricultural, rail, marine, general manufacturing, furniture and wood, and fabrication shops.
Send us your part sizes, production rate and building constraints. Our engineers will recommend a configuration and quote it.
When your parts are oversized or unusual, the booth must fit a constrained building, or it has to integrate with conveyors, robots or ovens. Standard sizes can’t meet those requirements without compromise.
It depends on size and complexity. Engineering and drawing approval come first, then fabrication and installation. Your quote includes a schedule for your project.
Yes. Custom PFS booths use ETL/UL listed components and UL 508A control panels and are designed to NFPA 33. Final approval rests with your local authority having jurisdiction.
Yes. We design around column lines, ceiling heights, existing pits, mezzanines and conveyor paths. A site visit or drawings let us engineer the best fit.
Any pattern can be engineered in. Cross-flow is the most economical, semi-downdraft and side downdraft improve finish without a pit, and full downdraft gives the cleanest finish. We recommend one based on your parts and coatings.
Yes. We provide general arrangement drawings and equipment data to support fire, building and air-quality permitting.
Our engineers are available to help you select the right configuration for your application.
Need replacement filters for this booth? PFS Filters stocks intake, exhaust, ceiling, and prefilter media for paint booth maintenance.
