POWDER COATING SYSTEMS
Cyclone powder recovery systems that capture and recycle overspray in a closed loop — built for high-volume single-color operations where material efficiency drives cost per part. Ships nationally.

Engineered for a high-volume production facility requiring maximum powder material efficiency. Twin cyclone separators, closed-loop powder recycling, non-conductive enclosure, and stainless steel floor. ETL listed (Intertek) for the USA and Canada. NFPA 33 compliant. Built in Santa Rosa, CA.
Overspray powder is captured, cleaned, and returned to the feed system in a continuous closed loop — without stopping production. No exhaust stack required.
Powder-laden air exits the booth enclosure and enters the twin cyclone separators. The cyclones use centrifugal force to spin powder particles out of the airstream.
Separated powder falls into the collection hopper at the base of each cyclone. Cleaned air exits the top of the cyclone and continues to the secondary filter stage.
Recovered powder passes through a media classifier that removes oversized particles, agglomerates, and contaminants before the powder is returned to the feed hopper.
Cleaned, classified powder is continuously fed back into the application system. The closed loop runs without interruption — maximizing material utilization throughout the production run.
Overspray-laden air is drawn through twin cyclone separators that use centrifugal force to spin powder particles out of the airstream and into a collection hopper below. The cleaned air continues to the secondary filter stage. Twin cyclones provide higher throughput and easier cleaning access than single-cyclone designs.
Recovered powder is continuously returned from the collection hopper through a media classifier and back into the feed system — without interrupting production. The closed-loop design keeps usable powder in the process and minimizes the amount of powder in the system at any given time, reducing waste and improving color consistency.
The booth enclosure is fabricated from non-conductive materials that minimize powder attraction and buildup on interior surfaces. Less powder on walls means faster color changes, lower cleaning time between runs, and reduced cross-contamination risk when switching between colors.
The booth floor is fabricated from stainless steel for maximum durability, easy cleaning, and operator grounding. Stainless resists powder buildup and chemical attack from cleaning agents, extending the service life of the booth interior.
An electrode air wash system maintains a continuous curtain of clean air across the booth opening, maximizing electrostatic charging efficiency and preventing powder from migrating out of the enclosure. Higher charging efficiency means better first-pass transfer rates and less overspray entering the recovery system.
Gun mounting positions are adjustable to accommodate a wide range of part geometries and sizes. Proper gun positioning ensures complete top-to-bottom part coverage, minimizes overspray, and maximizes first-pass transfer efficiency.
Both cyclone separators are equipped with hinged access panels that swing fully open for thorough interior cleaning. Full access means faster color changes, more complete cleaning between runs, and easier inspection of cyclone interior surfaces.
The booth interior is designed for complete visual inspection from the operator position. Open sightlines allow operators to monitor part coverage, identify missed areas, and detect powder buildup before it affects part quality.
The control panel is built and certified to UL 508A industrial control panel standards. Interlocked fan start, powder feed enable, and safety circuits are pre-wired and factory tested before shipment. Optional programmable cycle timers and production counters available.
Class I Division 2 inside-access light fixtures provide bright, uniform illumination throughout the booth interior. Multi-voltage ballasts accept 120V–277V power. LED upgrade available. Fixtures are ETL listed for their intended use and placement.
Powder reclaim booths are available with conveyor entry and exit openings for integration into continuous powder coating lines. Parts move through the booth on an overhead or floor conveyor while the recovery system operates continuously.

A powder reclaim booth is a powder coating enclosure equipped with a recovery system — typically cyclone separators — that captures overspray powder, cleans it through a media classifier, and returns it to the feed hopper in a continuous closed loop. Unlike spray-to-waste booths where overspray is discarded with the filter media, a reclaim booth recycles usable powder back into the application process, reducing material cost per part in high-volume operations.
Overspray-laden air exits the booth and enters one or more cyclone separators. Inside the cyclone, the airstream spins at high velocity, creating centrifugal force that drives powder particles outward and downward into a collection hopper at the base. Cleaned air exits the top of the cyclone and passes through a secondary filter before being returned to the facility. Recovered powder is then classified and returned to the feed system.
A powder reclaim booth makes financial sense when you are running high volumes of a single color or a small number of colors, and when the cost of the powder you are discarding is significant relative to the cost of the reclaim system. The break-even point depends on your powder cost, application efficiency, and production volume. For most high-volume production operations, reclaim pays for itself within one to two years of operation.
Yes, but color changes require purging the cyclone separators, cleaning the collection hopper, and flushing the feed system to prevent cross-contamination. This process takes significantly longer than a color change in a spray-to-waste booth. Powder reclaim booths are best suited for single-color or limited-color production runs. For frequent color changes, a spray-to-waste booth is the more practical choice.
No. The secondary filter stage cleans the air to a level suitable for recirculation back into the facility, eliminating the need for an exhaust stack and the air make-up unit required to replace exhausted air.
