Rail cars are tall and long. Multi-level platforms, side lighting and roof access are planned into the booth from the start so painters can reach every surface safely.
Rail booths are built around the track. We embed rail through the booth floor, add grated walkways and pits, and size doors for the car profile so equipment rolls straight through.
Locomotives and passenger cars are tall. Scissor lifts, mezzanines and rail-mounted platforms let painters reach the roof line safely.
full downdraft airflow gives the best finish on long, tall car bodies. Heated make-up air and bake cycles shorten cure time so cars return to service sooner.
Transit shops also finish trucks, doors, panels and components. blasting systems, prep stations and open-face booths complete the facility.
Every PFS booth is built with ETL/UL listed components and engineered to NFPA 33, the NEC (Article 516) and OSHA 1910.107. Your local fire marshal and air district have the final say, so we supply drawings, airflow data and cut sheets for permitting. See our NFPA 33 compliance guide for the details.
