System Components & Applications & Delivery

Our system integration process begins with a thorough assessment of your existing facility and finishing line. PFS engineers document your current equipment configuration, utility capacities, controls architecture, and production requirements before designing the integration scope. This upfront engineering investment prevents surprises during installation and ensures the new equipment is designed to interface correctly with your existing systems.

PFS system integration projects range from simple booth replacements and oven additions to complete finishing line upgrades involving new conveyors, pretreatment systems, and controls. We manage the entire project — engineering, fabrication, installation, controls programming, commissioning, and operator training — with a single point of accountability. Our field installation crews are experienced in working in active production environments with minimal disruption to your ongoing operations.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Finishing system integration involves connecting new finishing equipment — spray booths, ovens, conveyors, pretreatment systems — with an existing production line, facility utilities, and controls infrastructure. This includes mechanical tie-ins to existing conveyors, electrical connections, PLC programming to incorporate the new equipment into the existing controls architecture, and commissioning to verify the integrated system performs as specified.
PFS minimizes production downtime through detailed upfront planning, prefabrication of equipment and controls panels in our facility before the installation begins, and scheduling critical tie-in work during planned maintenance shutdowns or off-shift periods. Our field installation crews are experienced in working in active production environments and coordinate closely with your production and maintenance teams throughout the project.
Yes. PFS engineers are experienced in integrating new finishing equipment with existing Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and other major PLC platforms. We review your existing controls architecture during the design phase and engineer the new equipment controls to interface with your existing system — whether through hardwired I/O, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, or other communication protocols.
PFS assesses your existing conveyor capacity — chain pull, drive motor sizing, and structural load — during the design phase. If the existing conveyor cannot support the additional equipment, PFS designs a conveyor upgrade or replacement as part of the integration scope. In some cases, a new conveyor section can be added to serve the new equipment while the existing conveyor continues to serve the rest of the line.
Yes. PFS provides ongoing service and support for all finishing systems we install, including integrated systems. Our service team is available for scheduled preventive maintenance, emergency service calls, controls troubleshooting, and equipment upgrades. We maintain a parts inventory for all PFS-manufactured equipment and can source replacement parts for third-party equipment integrated into your system.
