Examples in Use:
- Custom and High-Mix Manufacturing: Handles both bespoke orders and larger production runs.
- Signage and Display Manufacturing: Provides tailored finishes for various shapes and sizes.
Common types of powder coating booths
Powder coating booths are used for the powder coating process in which dry powder is electrostatically applied to metal to create a stronger bond than is possible with liquid coatings. This is done inside a “powder coating booth” which comes in a few layouts including the following:
- Open face powder booths
- Cartridge batch booths
- Pass through powder booths
- lab powder booths
- Enclosed power booths
From there, the items are moved into a powder coating oven to cure. During this process, the bonds of the powder break apart and re adhere to form a stronger bond to the material !
Powder Non-recovery booths
Powder Non-Recovery Booths from PFS (Platinum Finishing Systems) present a cost-effective solution for small batch powder coating applications. These booths are equipped with both primary and redundant filtration systems, efficiently capturing high volumes of powder overspray. With an open-front design, PFS Powder Non-Recovery Booths optimize floor space utilization and facilitate easy transportation in and out of the booth
Powder Recovery Booths
Tailored for small- to medium-sized batch powder coating applications, Powder Recovery Booths from PFS (Platinum Finishing Systems) offer an optimal environment for powder coating operations. These booths are equipped with an integrated Powder Collection Module featuring high-efficiency cartridge filters designed to capture powder overspray effectively. Additionally, PFS Powder Recovery Booths include a load-triggered filter pulsing system, ensuring filters are cleaned for an extended lifespan.
Pass Through Powder Booths
These are for manufacturers who coat the same item several times with the same or similar colors. Crafted with precision engineering, our Pass Through Powder Booths are designed to facilitate coating on both sides using either manual or automatic spray equipment, or a combination of both. The inclusion of a conveyor slot at the top of the booth enables racked parts to smoothly pass through the spray area, especially when the conveyor is installed above the booth. This setup not only minimizes overspray but also enhances productivity by ensuring parts are handled in the most efficient manner possible. Additionally, the booth boasts a collector module that can be effortlessly rolled away for quick color changes, with the option to incorporate additional modules for operations requiring multiple colors
Cartridge Batch Powder Coating Booths
Our Cartridge Batch Powder Booths, characterized by their open-front design, are perfectly suited for small to mid-size powder applications. These booths incorporate a purge control feature to uphold the cleanliness of cartridge filters, ensuring the safe operation of the coatings enclosure by maintaining airflow at designated levels. As powder accumulates on the cartridge filters during operation, airflow decreases and negative pressure increases within the air handler. To counteract this, a timer initiates a system of air purging valves, effectively clearing the cartridge filters of accumulated powder and prolonging their lifespan
